GNU Free Documentation License Tragedy of the commons relating to water and forestry resources? Q. I have to write an essay with the following question and don't know where to begin! "Does the Tragedy of the Commons still apply in today's society? Critically discuss this with respect to water and or forestry resources" I understand the term tragedy of the commons but I'm not sure what kind of pointers I can use to relate it to water and forestry. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Asked by supersham89 - Sat Dec 5 10:11:08 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Absolutely it does. Look at all the water being taken out of the Green/Colorado River and look at the deforestation in low-latitude tropical forests for lumber. I'd like to use a free web design template I found, but the Creative Commons license says I have to leave the designer's link on the website. If I am tweaking the design (color, size, layout, etc.) is the design still protected under this license? In other words, how far does the design need to change before it stops being the original copyrighted material? Or does it ever? And the changes must also be in the code, not just the face Answered by Azrael - Sat Mar 29 12:33:50 2008 Does Creative Commons license allow me to reproduce music on my web design services site?
Q. I design websites for musicians. I have a DEMO site that showcases all the features in my musician websites. One of the features is an integrated site-wide MP3 player. Can I use music registered under a Creative Commons license on this integrated MP3 player? This would be for DEMO purposes. I won't be selling the music just using it to demo how the player works. I will be selling my web design services and packages. Please advice me. Thanks. Asked by reuben - Sat Sep 1 01:35:59 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. It depends on the specific terms of the Creative Commons license -- the terms vary, and some allow what you are asking about, and some do not.
